Pokemon Hackroom Cidya

long time ago ... somewhere downunder (part two)

Shark Bay is a place full of wonders ...
The first surprise is that to get on the peninsula that extends into the bay, the sides of the streets are carpeted with wild flowers of all colors! This thing upsets me, because the landscape is the same one that was in the outback: arid red soil and dry bushes ... It 's crazy!

The second wonder, and why Shark Bay is listed among the World Heritage sites, is the presence of a colony of stromatolites living. The rocks are stromatolites living on Earth for three and a half billion years (which is a time that I can not even understand), prior to any other living being. These critters for two billion years have been the only form of life on earth and their simple breathing has helped to raise the level of oxygen in the air, allowing the development of other more complex forms of life ... including us! Wow ...
Without having read Bryson's book would certainly not able to understand the extraordinary importance of the place ... I only saw the rocks and stromatolites of the ...

The third wonder Shark Bay are the hollow shells! Shell Beach A layer of shells in some places reaches 10 meters, so that in the past it was cut into blocks and used as construction material. Today the quarries are in disuse and are only used to renovate the historic buildings of Shark Bay.

And finally ... The fourth great ... the dolphins of Monkey Mia! Every morning the dolphins of Monkey Mia reached the beach where there are operators who feed them! The show is a bit 'type circus, because the mess of people prevent you from fully enjoying these beautiful creatures ... xò have a dolphin gets a fish from your hands is an experience that you do not happen every day ... and is simply fantastic! And then, being a marine protected area of \u200b\u200bthe bay, and dolphins being used to going to the shore to fish, which happen to see them near the pier looking for fish at all hours of the day ...

After having fed my dolphin and have organized a tour to two Italian couple on their honeymoon (one of two of Parma ... incredible!) Who had some difficulty with English, I think Dani and Bent (Vito does not change your mind when you set even dead = P) to go for a ride in a kayak ... Unfortunately, no dolphins for us ... only starfish and shells ... and a sea-postcard ...!

In the afternoon we went to Kalbarri, about 350 km further south. After three weeks of last tent we slept in a real bed ... that was not the most comfortable, but it was still a bed ... =)
The next day we went to Kalbarri National Park, after the lady of the 'information center had reassured us about the conditions of the road to get there. Unfortunately the young lady was aware of the conditions of our car ... because it took us over an hour to do 20 km ... but at least it was worth it xchè the 8 km walk along the river was really beautiful!

Leaving Kalbarri, on the way to Geraldton we stopped in a lot of lookout on the cliffs overlooking the coast. We have also seen a whale in the distance ... I screamed that who I thought I heard same feeling bad! It was far but you could see clearly that it was a whale ... could not be anything else ... I could not believe it!
That evening, at Geraldton, we stayed in a hostel-convent no boys in girls dorm and no girls in boys dorm ... I was in a huge dorm, full of empty beds, with an eerie silence!
The next day, back to the south, we stopped to see the famous Pinnacles in Cervantes: the strange rocks that pop up in the sand ... another of the many oddities of this continent ...

Meanwhile, the red has finally given way to fields of flowers, green fields and pastures of cows and sheep ...
In the evening we arrived in the capital of West Perth.
course, to save money, we caught the worst hostel in the city ... Chinatown of course!
But in the evening we saw the opening ceremony of the Olympics on a giant screen in the center, after a super bowl of noodles in a (finally) food court!
The return to the city was a bit 'traumatic ... traffic, faster pace, a lot of things to do ... Perth
But at first glance I liked it a lot ... is beautiful, cared for, new ...

The visit deepened, however, had to be postponed ...
The plan was to reach Perth, sell your car, make the last trip together in the south west and then ... each in his own way! Even as a little 'time Vito and Bent thought to stay in Perth to find work, while Dani and I wanted to find another way to continue their journey on the road or up in Adelaide, why not Melbourne!
We were lucky because we found a buyer for the car the same day that we put up for sale.
So lightly, we enjoyed the last part of the journey together ...
to make wine connoisseurs to sample and taste them all around the farm and winery in Margaret River ...

to climb the trees in the Valley of the Giants ...

to eat in an Asian country called Albany ... =)

Meanwhile, Dani and I decided to cross our fingers for another two weeks and take our car, buying a half share of Vito. Rent another car would have cost us too much ... Holden now and then we had accompanied us throughout our trip and I had already had the anxiety of separation ... ;)
Back in Perth, it was time to make important decisions ... Emirates office waiting for me to decide my return date ...
Until a few days before the thought of returning home made me anxiety ... but once arrived in Perth my emotions were a little 'change ... I felt like I had reached the goal of my trip ... Dani knowing that I would come down to Melbourne, seeing everything (almost) what it is in the middle, I felt really okay ... I was ready ...
