news from the tomato fields of Queensland ....

The alarm clock is at 4.30.
At 5.30 a bus takes us into the field.
When we get the 'the sky has just begun to be dyed purple. We
a dozen girls and some boys. The driver tries to get us cheer up: "Have a good day everybody!" ... and you would want to send him to hell. We expect to file
tomatoes much, you lose sight of an eye, which must be pruned: tomato pruning!
And so begins the day: turn on the ipod, turn off your brain and you start ... a tomato plant after another, trying to go as fast as possible xchè pay us a complete file ... until 3 in the afternoon when the bus returns to pick us up.
It eats with his dirty hands ... There rests lying in the dust ... and if you beat the alternatives are either to pee behind a pile of wood or behind a tractor ...
back to the hostel of land that are dirty and dusty everywhere ... We need a long shower x pull away the day off ... and who cares if it got to this point in Queensland's drought alert level five! After showering
usually sleep a bit, 'until they return Vito and Dani (most often angry and full of scratches!) By planting lemons ... Then spending, and dinner at 9 am back to bed ... Is that life ?? No, it isn't!
How I ended up in this beautiful state? From
degree in economics and finance in Italy, a waitress in Sydney, just breaks your back in a field of tomatoes?
Well ... a bit 'xche' c
x i need money to do a million things ... including being able to buy a used car x start shooting the Australia ... a bit 'xche' Dani had some need to stop x 'x be somewhere to get a new credit card from Italy, and since its' been eaten a few weeks ago from a Westpac ATM Nelson Bay ... So
xche 'do not try the experience of the farm ...
And so 'we are in Bundaberg ... Queensland paesone a half 'way between Brisbane and the Tropic of Capricorn ... famous in Australia x rum and sugar ... as well as the work camps there 'absolutely nothing to do ...
Anyway, next Sunday we run ... obviously the next goal and 'yet to be determined ...

But back to fun stuff ... xchè also the last post I had been on our arrival in Brisbane at the end of March ... If you look back it seems to me that it happened a lifetime ago ...
Brisbane is really nice ... the buildings all look brand new and modern skyline, reflected on the Brisbane River has nothing to envy to Sydney ...

I of course I immediately slingshots to the Gallery of Modern Art x see the exhibition of Andy Warhol ... fantastic! There was everything that I expected to see and even more ... for me it is worth it ... The other day we
walker a little 'x the city, under the blinding sun and the heat of Queensland, with the hope to clarify our ideas on the way forward ...
In the meantime, I took courage and I got a haircut. This is the most I had the courage to do ... =)

At the end we stayed five days in Brisbane and then we decided to take a train x Surfers Paradise!
Unfortunately we were not too lucky ... the weather was not great at the beach and we did not manage to stay xchè shelved the wind ...
And so we looked at the Gold Coast, which is just as bad I expected and that "gold" has very little ... certainly not until after lunch because the beaches are already 'obscured by the shadow of skyscrapers ...
Years ago they decided to name more appealing to the city to attract tourists and have called Surfers Paradise ... has since become a mountain of concrete ...

Anyway, we made two days worldly ... in a hostel where we paid for two nights for the price of three ... to dance in a squalid room, the Shooters ... and spending a lot of money in general ... At least I managed to buy the shirt of the only Australian Hard Rock Cafe ... A Surfers
however we did some 'clarity about future plans and we decided to seek a farm ... And so we ended up in Bundaberg ... After a break of one day at Rainbow Beach ...
